Cat In The Hatministrator
I popped into Hitchin today, and while my wife was having her hair done for the Battle of Britain Ball tomorrow, I took the opportunity to see what Machinehead Music had in stock.
I've seen it in there a couple of times, but having a little bit of extra time I thought I'd give it a try. It's a 2005 Fender Showmaster from the Custom Shop. Mahogany back, arched flame maple-topped Showmaster body, mahogany glued-in neck, with a black-faced Tele headstock. Standard US trem, and Schaller locking tuners. The fret markers are kinda tribal-looking. 2 SD Pearly Gates buckers, 3-way switch, vol and tone.
Unfortunately I didn't get chance to plug in, but it was so alive acoustically, with notes bouncing out from all over the neck.
I was muchly impressed and if the plugged in sound is anywhere near as good as its acoustic sound, I may just have found what I'd like to get for my 40th next year!!!
