Fender Deluxe Compatibility

I just bought a fender deluxe american strat.

I wont to put SD hot rails in the bridge but i dont know if the pickups will be compatible with the S-1 Switching system in the ADS fender.

If not.. What will happen.

Thanks.

Re: Fender Deluxe Compatibility

just switch the green and black(on the hotrails) wire and you`ll be fine ;)

Re: Fender Deluxe Compatibility

yea but the s-1 switching is designed for fender single coils so i cant visualise how it is gonna work with a hummer in teh bridge

Re: Fender Deluxe Compatibility

ok,i`m not the right guy to visualise it for you but it `ll be different in a good way :)

Re: Fender Deluxe Compatibility

I am not sure what makes this strat special? But with most strats if you aren't planning on splitting or parallel you would just solder the white/red together and tape them off. From there the green/bare go together and are grounded. If it doesn't sound right in the 2 position then you would need to reverse the wiring so its black/bare ground and green to the switch. If it is really bright and thin then you want to reverse the leads.

If there`s stock fender pu`s in the middle and neck,do it right away;)
the SD bucker will be out of phase with the fender pu otherwise
