Of course, my comment was a tongue in cheek joke, even though I like British amps more than American. The one thing Marshall did wrong was not figuring out how to add a nice reverb to EL-34 amps. What an idiot! :6: :chairfall

I read that Leo was very insecure and conscious about the fact he wasn't an official engineer, meaning he didn't go to college to become an engineer.

didn't Leo just simply copy the basic RCA book amplifier outlines-in-design. I love the can-do, non sentimental approach Leo took with stuff. Telecaster? Alder wood= tone? Nah, just heaps of it available at the time in the area, real cheap! Gibson: Violins! Fenders: Planks-to-be-spanked!
