Fender Frontman 212R?

Hey guys, saw this one on CL and it looks like a good deal (assuming it works), but what do you think of it? It appears to be a Frontman 212R, but the guy just calls it a Fender 212... so maybe he doesn't know anything about it. Anyone have experience with one of these?

I did a search here on the forum, but didn't really find anything. Other reviews online (most about 10 years old) say it's loud, got a great clean channel, great reverb unit, and so-so distortion (which is okay with me as I typically use pedals anyway).

I'm gonna go take a look at it tomorrow, but I'd sure like to know a little more about it... if you have any info, please share!

Thanks a bunch!

yeah, that's a great price on them. Clean is awesome and takes pedals really well. I've found the reverb better on my Crate GT65R but it is a fine reverb.

Cant beat it for $100. I have a cab from the same line and era I would give it an 8 on tone but a solid 10 on construction. The FM series stuff is well built.

when I purchased my co-worker's entire gigging rig
I missed out on his Frontman 2x12
its a fine amp indeed
$100 is about right

Bummer... The guy sold it to his brother-in-law a half-hour before I was supposed to be there to check it out!

Guess it wasn't supposed to be. Thanks for the input anyway, guys!

I got one recently for $50 that had two Celestion Rocket 50s in it. It was a decent sounding amp for what it was, with great reverb. I mainly used it with pedals as I wasn't a fan of the drive/more drive channel. Also, there is absolutely no quiet operation at all. It went from silent to too loud without any in betweens.
