Hey all, quick update on the progress so far. All the parts have arrived but I’ve been short on time so I moved straight to assembly, soldering etc. here’s a couple of quick photos with this afternoons progress.

Looks good. And love the blue, too. Is that Kapton tape under the saddle screws?

Hi ArtieToo, thanks! Even though this one has some dings and marks I just love the colour and it’s a really dense cut of Alder which I like as well… yes, kapton under the screws, it seems to last through multiple adjustments… I get OCD about stuff sometimes.

Edit: Preliminary tap tests suggest all the wiring is correct per the last schematic. I just need to put some strings on tomorrow after work and properly check everything sounds in phase etc.

CONFIRMED WORKING!! Thanks ArtieToo for all your help and encouragement! I love this setup so much and these pickups are just so meaty, for want of a better expression… I ended up putting a TB-15 in the bridge instead of the SH-4 and I’m really happy I did… anyway I’m stoked.
