Fender HM 4 Bass

I have an early 1990s Fender HM 4 Bass in the house for a set-up and the owner was wondering about the specifics of this instrument. It's something like a 3 pickup Jazz Bass with a TBX tone and 3 pickups (seemingly noiseless) on a modified Strat type body. It is a MIA instrument and i imagine it is made of alder (right weight for alder at any rate).

Other than the fact that HM stands for Heavy Metal I can't find fact one about this bass on the internet.

Who knows stuff?

Don't know, A good idea in this case is to e-mail Fender (seriously, they take a couple days to get back to you, but you can reach them thru Gearhead's site, and a couple other places). They tend to be pretty good about that stuff in regard to info, specs, and older design schematics and what not.
