Fender MH-500 Metalhead

Re: Fender MH-500 Metalhead

ive noticed the metal head in a catalog i havent tried it but im a lil skeptical, fender has been more about marketing tactics then quality most of the companies life not to say they didnt develop some good quality products but it mosltly lies in bluesy jazz clean sound. marshall is now making hand wired amps because theyre losing lot of sales due to mesas handwired amps and fender has been lagging behind especially in amps and now there trying to take on marshalls mode 4 at a competitive price so ss is the easiest way and since more kids are getting into metal and hardcore since its gaining popularity and kids usually cant afford mesas and good marshalls and parents usually dont want to dish out the money for it the mh looks more appealing like i sed i havent played it but judging from their history im a lil skeptical

maybe that james root character will start playing them??
I seriously doubt it. He seems to be quite a tube amp snob. And I'm a BIG fan!

The guys at Sam Ash told me yesterday that most of the folks buying amps "lately" are the younger crowd....High Schoolers and folks in their 20s....The Mode 4 and the Metal Master are geared towards those buyers...

Sam Ash also had 0 Boutique amps, but they also had plenty of smaller combo and beginner amps? You have to stock what you can sell....

yeah, the sam ash around me has more or less completely converted to low/medium-end gear now. it sucks cause i always prefer there to GC, but now they dont have much i can play. they still have some cool guitars (ESP 400 series stuff) but i can never find any good amps (that are plugged in and connected to a cab)
