Fender Pawn Shop Series

Re: Fender Pawn Shop Series

IMO, you should start a poll on whether AZ would prefer the red or the blue? Also, are those WR style buckers regular size for ease of replacement or of the correct original CBS/Fender dimensions.

EDIT: I6 might be ever so slightly interested too! :D

While those are indeed really cool, I would hardly call it bold to release a strat model that was available under the Squier name years ago. In fact, making such a statement mey be the one bold thing about 'em :P

Re: Fender Pawn Shop Series

I like them. I was actually going to post this same thing before I did a search... Hopefully this isn't an April Fools joke :D ...

I already have a Squier '51 in the blonde that I really have taken a liking to... such a great beater guitar.

It'd be an even cooler guitar with better components and a better quality build. I'm assuming these are MIM. Either way, I've owned a couple of awesome MIM's, so this could be really cool.

They must have done pretty well with their blacktop series to have all the HH guitars on here as well as the more traditional SH.

The sunburst one at the bottom with the "f" hole is intriguing as well.

I like this one. I don't like the way Wide Range buckers look.

Re: Fender Pawn Shop Series

They seem kinda cool . . . I'm still holding out for a Jazzmaster with a Floyd though. . .

Re: Fender Pawn Shop Series

Pretty cool. I support anything that brings more surf green into the world.

But I'm not even a little tempted to buy one. Partially because I've had a Mexican Deluze series neck fastened to my Squier '51 for years, so I feel like I already kinda know what these are gonna be like and partially because, for the price, I think I'd be much more likely to track down a 60s Tribute Goldttop.

Re: Fender Pawn Shop Series

One more thing... with the code: FENDER50 at MusiciansFriend you get $50 off any fender guitar this weekend.

Re: Fender Pawn Shop Series

Forget Astro when I6 sees they made a higher end '51 it may be all over for him

Re: Fender Pawn Shop Series

Just a minute. Surely, a "Mustang" with a fixed bridge is actually a Duo-Sonic.

Re: Fender Pawn Shop Series

I thought this was a joke thread.

I have to admit, those are some sweet looking Fenders.

Re: Fender Pawn Shop Series

Wow, those are incredible! I mean, it's awesome to see Fender stepping outside the box a bit with their stuff. They're not just another Strat or Tele.

And yeah, I wondered how long it would take for the Squier 51 to show up as a Fender model. So much for everyone's "collectible" resale value for the Squiers.

Re: Fender Pawn Shop Series

I was a bit turned off by these guitars, but the more I look at that semi hollow strat, the more I'm diggin' it:D

Re: Fender Pawn Shop Series

I like every single one of those a lot. The bound F-hole on the '72 is really sharp.

Wow.

I want one of them badly.

I do not need a new guitar at all, but those are rad.
