Fender Pro Jr. Question...

I saw an older Pro Jr. thread on here with a suggestion by Stratdeluxer, saying to play it through a 412 cab. It sounds cool, but how tough of a mod would that be on this little guy? Also, could new tubes and speaker help in retaining a little more clean headroom?

You do not have to do a mod. All you do is unplug the speaker jack in the back of the Pro Jr and plug the 4x12 ext cab into that jack.

Go to www.eurotubes.com and order a set of EL84s graded for more clean headroom. Jay or Bob at eurotubes will set you right up.

Yeah, Stratcat is right.... all you have to do is reach up under the chasis and you'll find where the speaker plugs in.... just unplug that and run your cab into that same jack :banana:

My Blues Jr. is the same way.... pretty fun to try out different speaker cabs.

you might want a higher headroom preamp tube too ... like a 12AT7 or 12 AY7 insteed of an 12AX7

Now I was thinking of a nice 2 12 that could also be used for my Mesa Mark IV.
