Hello!
I have Fender Stratocaster 1978' guitar,maple/lite ash,hard tail.
It's not treblish sounding guitar, but it is kind of hard sounding.

I replaced stock 78 pickups with Fender Fat 50',and was disappointed. No bell like tones,or tube, tubular feel round 12th fret. After checking acmeguitarworks site,I bought Lollar Blonde alnico 2 pickups which are far more superior!:)
They have bell like qualities, great vintage woody sound, snap, sustain, better articulation!!
They react to picking attack much better(compression) and cut through band.
2.and 4. position are everything I dreamed of(loots of quack)...but...

I lost tube, flute, tubular, tubish sound on neck position, for example, sound of playing regular blues pentatonic round' 12th fret...sound of D.Gilmour on Another brick in the wall.. solo,Hey Joe solo etc...:smokin:

So,is there any pickups that have all the qualities mentioned above:Bell like, woody, snappy, articulation, sustain, hard pick attack but also that tubular, tube, flute feel(3rd and 2nd string,12 th fret).I'm after greates glasssy, bell like Fender tone, but not treblish, with this tube-bluesy vibe on neck position!

Only pickup I still have in mind are Lindy Fralin Vintage hot and SD Antiquity Surfer...So,if someone could compare those three, already read Lew's opinion on Antiquity's,but no one compared to Lollar's?

THNX for any comment,I went "tone crazy",and don't have anyone near my place with those pickups,so I must buy before try..:smack:
