Love Eminence. Have you swapped it in already? If so the question is really, what do you think?

You might want to get yourself a new 1X12 cabinet? The cab that comes with the X2 is complete garbage. There's no back panel, it's thin, & I'm not even entirely sure you can swap the speaker in it?

If you want to save some bucks see if you can pick up a old S.S. Fender 1X12, 2X10, or 2X12 amp (they can be had for $100 all day just about everywhere if you look) & wire it up into a cabinet. Not only will you end up with a much better, & much more solid, cabinet but you might be surprised by the stock speakers that come in them?

I recently converted my Princeton Chorus into a 2X10 cab & it's easily the best sounding cabinet I own now! It just had the stock 10in Special Design Jensen's in it & I had the intention of replacing them until I heard them!!! I've done the same thing to a Stage 1000 1x12 with equally good results & that came stock with a G12T-100 Celestion in it!!!

Around the house I've been running most of my heads through the 2X10 because they sound a bit fuller at lower volumes. My live rig consist of my 65 D.R.R.I. through its 1X12 ALINCO speaker for cleans & one of my higher gain heads through the Stage 1000's 1X12 for dirt. I just switch between them using a A/B box....

Re: fender superchamp upgrade

the superchamp x2 i have is the combo and i can only fit in a 10 inch speaker that is why i chose the ragin cajun 10 inch but i can hook up an external speaker and was thinking of getting the bugera 1x12 speaker cab i can put my combo on top anothe question is can i use a splitter and run bothe the built in 10 inch and the external speaker at the same time or will that be a miss match in ohms

I personally love Superchamps. I have 2 X2 heads now. Had combos but although they sounded great,
they weren't quite enough . . . a little thin and couldn't get past 3 without breaking up. I tried the suggested
Fender upgrade to the Jensen speaker. Yeah, it got louder, but it lost the "Fender Sparkle"!!! Very disappointed
with the sound.

So I picked up a 2x10 open back speaker cab, and tried the amp using the external out. WOW! Sounded just
like a small Twin!

Sold the combos. Picked up a Fender 1x2 closed back and 2 X2 heads. For clean stuff, Surf, Jazz, etc . . .
it sounds great!

I can turn up to almost 8 with no break up now. And it's plenty loud enough for gigs. NOTE: I don't play heavy metal, etc.

Re: fender superchamp upgrade

Have the Rajun Cajun in my little Ibanez 5 watter with T/Ser. Bought it cause the stock speaker [ Celestion 80 or Rocket!!!! ] sounded muffled and the T/S'er sounded very middy and garbled.

After looking at my choices. I selected the Rajun Cajun. The specs show it has a flat mid range. As I dislike Tube Screamers, this looked like a good choice to help settle the mids a bit. First off, its more sensitive. Next up, the bass is firm and has some body. The highs are smoother and more distinct. By now, you have guessed that I'm not a pro-reviewer. The best part is now. Throw the T/S switch and play. H..... S .... Batman, that Tube Screamer sounds awesome! It isn't a mids forward speaker and great choice.
