Fender Tex-Mex Strats and Teles...

Re: Fender Tex-Mex Strats and Teles...

The Tex-Mex Strat is most like the Jimmie Vaughan Strat in terms of materials and hardware, ie., "upgraded", U.S. quality bridge and tuners, 9.5" radius fretboard with medium jumbo frets and Tex-Mex pickups. It differs in neck shape (a "C" profile), standard Strat wiring and was available with a rosewood fretboard. I've been very pleased with mine.

I like my buddiy's Tex Mex Strat. Sounds great and plays great. Very comfortable neck with a rosewood fingerboard with nice big frets. Even the stock pickups are quite decent...though I'd change them if it was my guitar. Lew

cool guitars for the money but need a little love to be brought up to snuff. a grind and polish does wonders for playability

actually i loved the nashville tele as is

best of both worlds, neck pickup was near useless, but i hardly ever use them anyways
