Fender ToneMaster Pro. When did this hit?

I almost bought one, but then the shopping cart added tax and I realized just how much these really cost.

At this price...

* I need to know that future models will not be paid upgrades.
* It needs to have more amp models.
* It needs to have some more boost pedals.
* I need to know that it has a 4/4 usb audio interface that allows recording/monitoring and reamping.
* It needs to have computer editing software, not just "vaporware" (hello QC and HR anyone?)
* It needs to have a better roster of amps and effects. Boss and Zoom both have lots of creative tools like synth filters, LFOs, autowahs, ring modulations, etc.
* It needs playback type selection that auto disables cabs when connected to a real amp.
* It needs Global EQ and gain settings
* It needs readily available user manual so I can see what it can actually do before buying.

It pretty and intuitive, but it appears to be similar to the Headrush in features.

Dont forget it needs to have stereo, have internal routing to the backplane, and a tuner and looper at that price point

The chinese pop-up companies like Donner, Ampero, Mooer, etc.. those are all copied illegal bull****. Mooer was actually caught pirating a digital pedal in the past.

I cant own a pedal with "Mooer" on it, what an awful word, they might as well have named their company "Moist" pedals or "Mucus" Pedals.

I'd love for Fender to come out with single pedal-sized Tone Masters of their own amps. Like a pedal Deluxe that is more like the actual amp than the Boss version 10 years ago. I don't generally need to switch between amps at a show- I only use one amp.

Following this on TGP....

I am in the camp of people who are shocked that it doesn't have local storage of presets. It is a connected device.

Anyone who has watched software/games over the past two decades realize that connected devices have potential to connect to their store and try to sell you extra effects in the device. (As do many of the software like Amplitube, the Quad Cortex, etc.)

The lack of amps shipped suggests to me that they will link this with a store and allow users to buy additional content.

I really do like this, but before I buy it would have to have:
  • Local storage of presets
  • No store integration. Every future effect/amp/IR developed for the device will need to be free and covered by the $1900 buy in.
  • Need a roadmap of future amps/effects
  • Working PC software
  • 4/4 USB interface with reamping (would need to see someone test and verify it works)
I just don't see this having the same degree of creative effects as Boss/Zoom. I may wait to see what the new Boss flagship looks like. In the mean time, my G11 does more than the new Fender processor.

I’ve got the original Headrush Pedalboard, and it was the original touch screen modeler that was right at the $1k mark. It’s been really good. I think the Fender price is a bit high especially with no expression pedal built in or included. I bet it will sound good though. The impulse capture system is really something that changed the game when it comes to signal processors.

While at that price, there are several options, I am more interested in the boxes that trickle down from this big one.
