Does Seymour Duncan make Fender's Twin Blade humbucker for them? Does anyone know what kind of magnet is in it like what type of Alnico it is or if it's Ceramic?

Thnx

Re: Fender twin blade humbucker

its on a Fender Deluxe Roadstar strat. It says Fender Twin blade humbucker but I wonder who makes it for them and what is. Its on the 2014 models of this guitar

Re: Fender twin blade humbucker

Are you talking about the "Twin Head" humbucker on the Deluxe Lonestar Strat? That's not a twin "blade" model....

Definitely interesting! They make a "Vintage" set and a "Modern" set. 3-pin active connection? Hmm....

Re: Fender twin blade humbucker

thank you so much for this info. I seemed to have missed it on the Fender website. I have the modern version of this. I have a Fender Deluxe Lonestar strat I recently purchased for an extra inexpensive gig and jam guitar and it has this in the bridge and two texas special singles. I have never much cared for the texas special singles becouse they never sound right in the bridge to me but with this humbucker and the texas special in the middle -split the position between middle single and full on humbucker sounds like a very cool fat quacking strat tone like it was boosted and fat'nd with clean boost pedal. the humbucker can be split via the S1 switch button in the volume nob and it sounds ok but still kinda brittle bright when split with the middle single too. I keep the texas special singles at 6 to 6.5 on the tone setting and the humbucker at around 7 on its tone to achieve this cool sound between the pickups. I also have a maple neck on this guitar so that adds to the brightness as well as I'm sure you can imagine.
At 15 resistance its perfect to split with the 7.3 middle single pickup if I choose. It also has a cool raw tone but still kinda smooth which would explain the Alnico 5 magnet tone.
Thnx again for your help
