Fenders "warranty" on necks

So after almost 2 weeks of dealing with the closest fender authorized service center I could find, and e-mailing pictures and misc info about the warpage problem with my guitar neck, this is what fender tells them...

the new neck will be shipped in 60-90 days :argh: . So im stuck with this unsetupable neck, and have to wait at least two months until the new one will even get to the store let alone how long it will take to get mine to a store that 500 miles away fixed and then sent back to me.

Ive never delt with any other guitar companies before, but please tell me that they are not all this bad when it comes to warrany work, because somehow it feels like im getting screwed here. :butkick: :ugh1:

fender does suck as a company in many ways. as much as i love the hell out of their guitars, i loath some of their policies. they don't mandate any rules for their "authorized service" providers, so those crooks are free to do as they wish. i live in a huge city and all three local shops tell me that it will take weeks to even get to my guitar if i brought it in. i called fender and they said that was the way it is. truly pathetic. you would figure that there would be a certain turn-around time for warranty repairs. maybe that's why they offer a lifetime warranty on the body and neck - because that's how long it will take to get your f****ng guitar back :rocket:

to keep costs down i'm sure right across the industry the customer service departments are small and maybe nil.... i know the local shop has a bunch of lemons saved up for Fender and the rep just rights them off over repairing... Guess it is cheaper to replace the whole deal sometimes then mess with getting a part and paying a shop to install it and so on....

I know the Gibson rep smashes the Epi's he writes off... a quick hammer to the headstock..

I would just be happy your getting a new neck, I've heard worse.

Buy a Warmoth and when the Fender neck finally comes, sell it for twice what you bought the Warmoth for. End up with a better neck overall and some money in your pocket. :nana:
