So I picked up my Dr. Z yesterday, and used it at a gig that night...what an amazing amp! I'm still dialing it in to what I want, but there's not a bad sound in the amp at all! thought I'd snap a few pics. Didn't get any of me playing, but got a few rig shots :)

Great pics!! Gotta be fun to bring the new toy. Matches the club very nicely!

Cool lookin' rig all around.

What kind of bass amp is that - looks like modern stuff with echos of the old SVT.

Re: few pics of my new rig....thanks guys!

it's a Hughes and Kettner Quantum series. It's the house amp that H&K gave us (this club is the same one I work in 4 nights a week running sound).

It's a great amp (both the Z and the H&K)

What's up with all of the cheap Walmart gear?

What do you expect...they actually honor requests for "Free Bird". :laugh2: :laugh2:

Seriously, really cool stuff. I hear nothing but great things about Dr. Z. I have yet to try any however.

What a great rig! And that pedalboard has everything you could need, and not a bit more. Kevlar is right, that amp totally matches the decor in the club.
You're lucky to be on such hallowed ground as a blues club in Clarkesdale. That's every blues fan's secret fantasy.

thanks gear....a lot of this stuff was chosen based on reviews I read here (a lot even bought through this board). Living in Clarksdale, you kind of forget how significant this place is. This club is also owned by Morgan Freeman, giving it a bit more significance.

Ground Zero

Playing the same club tonight as support guitarist for Terry "Big T" Williams. I'll try to get a few "in action" shots tonight :)

Re: few pics of my new rig....thanks guys!

Looks great, I'll bet you are really pleased.

Ground Zero is such a fantastic club
I talked to Big T and got his promo package when I was visiting.

How are "July 23rd" and the "Minor Blues" doing these days ?

Have fun and enjoy the gig. Wish I could br there to hear you guys.

Yeah, Big T was fun as always, I love playin with that guy.

July 23rd is good..we had a gig on Wednesday night, went fairly well. Should check out our myspace..

July 23rd

I'm pretty sure Minor Blues isn't playing anymore. I could be wrong.

You'll make it down again sometime, I'm sure. We just had a new guy move here who's a really good musician who goes by "Guitar" Mikey. He's from Toronto I believe. Cool guy.

Thanks for the compliments bros. All of this stuff I have from two things...years and years of trading up and finding good deals, and you guys on this forum for showing me some great gear over the years :)

Awesome setup buddy! Best of making great music with your ultra cool setup!

Re: few pics of my new rig....thanks guys!

Looks sweet. Nice tele.

Thanks Scott...yeah that Tele is an amazing guitar and I thank you again for letting me snag it even when I temporarily didn't have the means to do so, you're a saint.

Thanks for the compliments guys....I'm working hard to be able to push myself locally and regionally as a professional musician (practice, contacts, gigging regularly), and decided I needed the gear to go with it. this is what I do.

Re: few pics of my new rig....thanks guys!

Phillip what a great looking rig bro. I would proudly play a gig with that rig! Very Nice!!!

Re: few pics of my new rig....thanks guys!

sweet rig bro...i can almost hear that strat and tele sing!!!!

Re: few pics of my new rig....thanks guys!

Sweet rig, bro! The whole thing is a neat package; like Jonesy said, it's got everything you need and nothing more...Well, maybe you could add a nice LP to the rig. :)

That is the perfect looking rig. Not many people have rigs like that. The matching guitar pair matches the amp. All you need is matching straps. Think about it. Too classy!
