Finally a family photo "Securb's Harum"

Re: Finally a family photo "Securb's Harum"

If I were shopping, I'd take the Les Paul, Ovation, Ibanez, and Mockingbird acoust/elect.

'Zactly. That freakin' Deacon ( or Preacher?) 12 string string is outta sight!
I also lurve the black tele with the fudgebucker neck pickup. This man not only has good taste, he tastes good.

It could be a 'Breadwinner'. Sorry, I can never resist any reference to Charlie the Tuna. In my career as a collector of stuff like Hawaii
Punch and Coco-Puffs stuff and tons of other junk like that, I have never run across even one Charlie the Tuna collectible..

Nice bunch of rides. I dig the Mockingbird Acoustic/Electric. The Icemans, the Green Tele and the Ovation catch my eye for a minute too. Need a couple Explorers though and maybe a V or three. :headbang:

Re: Finally a family photo "Securb's Harum"

always liked those Washburn acoustic basses

Yeah I picked that baby up at a warehouse sale for $80 all it needed was a tuner. It is fun as hell to play.

The 12 String is a 73 Deacon. It sounds like a harp clean and takes to distortion very nicely. The Black Tele has a TV Jones Classic Plus in the neck. The thing sounds very Malcolm Young like. Clean the TVJ gives the guitar some of its twang back seeing there is a SD Hot Rails in the bridge.

Everyone seems to love that Mockingbird Acoustic/Electric it was on my GAS list for a while. Both of the Iceman are early 80's MIJ. The black Iceman has a SD Dimebucker/Jazz combo with a Kalher. The silver Iceman has a 498T/Fishman Piezo combo. The green Telecaster is a weird animal. It looks tame but it has a DiMarzio SD in the bridge and rips metal/hard rock very nicely. The DiMarzio is split so it goes back to classic Tele if need be. The electronics are vintage repo with cloth wiring and oil & paper caps.

Nice, I really like the old Ibanez!

Everyone seems to like that axe. You can find the for 3 bill on Ebay still. I might grab another one before the collectors start driving the prices of those MIJ gems up.

Is that a Taylor 110?

Nope just a cheapie I got from my brother in law. Here is a legend of the guitars with some reviews I did on the guitars or the pickups.

In related news, I'm gonna sell my Strat and finally get a pickguard for my spare roadstar II.

Class.

Re: Finally a family photo "Securb's Harum"

I want the green Tele and the Deacon.

That is a awesome collection of not-normal guitars.

That green telecaster. Want.

Thanks on the Tele kudos. For a non guitarist my wife has picked up a lot about the instrument from being with me over the years. If I walked through the door with another Les Paul Traditional Burst or another Mockingbird it would be WWIII. The cool thing about my wife is, if I see something "not-normal" Like the Parker, Deacon or the B. C. Rich Mockingbird Electric/Acoustic she will tell me to go for it. I do think I will be able to pull off another Paul in the near future it is all about educating her on the finer nuances between the styles. Right now my GAS is big for a Memphis.
