Well, if you've followed my posts over the last year here you'd know that I gave the Trading Post a chance a couple times for a new (used) guitar and wasn't too lucky.
The first time I sent my money off to the Kentucky backwoods for a nice Epi Les Paul Custom only to never hear back again from the seller which prompted a huge internet investigation and my eventual tracking down of a 15 year old ding-dong and his super-sketchy mom who were holding my money. Amazingly I got it back but it was a real bear.
I bounced back though and jumped on another Epi Les Paul Custom from the post only to have it's truss rod explode in shipping. Luckily the seller this time was awesome and we settled up with zero issues. Thanks again for that.
I decided only on a new axe after that and with me and the wife trying for a kid soon I got full clearance for a last gasp big purchase.
I narrowed down my choices to either a Martin D-28, a Les Paul of some flavor or a Firebird as a longshot.
Then enter the 70's Tribute Firebird.....
the mini-hums I'd want to add another flavor to my mix of geetars. not a giant beast like a full-fledged bird. plays great, a beauty and way too affordable to pass up.
so here she is...........my new bird!!! I'm stoked!! Plays great, great setup and I'm just having a blast with it. Upper fret access is great and in a good way, it's funky setup changes the way I play. I'm really liking it.
Oh yea, I'm still gonna get a D28 too. Just pushed it back a month. Freakin awesome!
and with my other stuff
