Finally Finished: Nocaster Project

Strap locks are on their way in the mail. Playing this thing for the first time, i realize how over my head i was buying this neck. IT'S HUGE!! It's like playing a baseball bot! Awesome!

The ground wiring still needs redone but the buzz doesn't bother me and it doesn't need immediate attention.

For those of you who might happen to notice, that is my can collection in the back. One day i did some tidying up and realized i had some 24 cans and decided to just start stacking em..that was about 2 months ago...

Special thanks to Lazarus for the pickups. They sound great!

Man you must have used the bathroom alot^.

Honestly, it looks like a little slice of heaven bro. The Cans clearly show time and effort. And patience.

what are the pickups on that puppy? Hopefully something nice and round sounding.

I believe Lazarus said they were highway ones. Wound for a bit more distortion. I use pedals etc so the pickups themselves don't really matter. I'm not a tone hunter.

Re: Finally Finished: Nocaster Project

Well different pickups do distort differently in some cases. Although past a certain point it becomes muddy mush. What's the neck profile? Looks like a wide C-shape from here. And if it is, then I would love to have that guitar.

LOL. DEEP U shaped neck. This is a nocaster, man...

Re: Finally Finished: Nocaster Project

Nice to see it finished, now it needs to be reliced.

Re: Finally Finished: Nocaster Project

I think this one is gonna relic nicely on its own. Invested a bit too much $$$ to be smacking it with keys and sanding it. Gives me the shivers just thinking about it.

Re: Finally Finished: Nocaster Project

that is a huge neck!! congrats on the finished project, it looks awesome

Re: Finally Finished: Nocaster Project

You should do all four walls with cans like that, all the way to the ceiling. That would look awesome. Like something from Barbarella or Logan's Run.

Cool looking guitar. You gonna put a custom logo on it? It's a really nice looking piece of wood the body's made from too.

Re: Finally Finished: Nocaster Project

I like the looks of that U-shaped neck.... beefy! That guitar looks like it sings - get a logo for it and be done with it :fing2:

Re: Finally Finished: Nocaster Project

Good job, Stale! Love the fat neck on there.

Regarding the cans: I see it as an "Aluminum Acoustic Resonance Barrier with Variable Low Pass Dampening Enhancements".

Re: Finally Finished: Nocaster Project

The only thing wrong that I find on that guitar is that it has a neck pickup, if you know what I mean...

Really sexy guitar man...

...well, not sexy. I don't think of Teles, Nocasters, or Esquires as sexy...I think of them as a very well engineered and thought out piece of machinery. Which is quite sexy in some ways.

BEAUTIFULL GUITAR MATE !!!

Not so sure about your sound-proofing experiment though . . .

She's gorgeous that's for sure... and that neck is huge man... I think that would be too much for me.

Re: Finally Finished: Nocaster Project

Every guitar lover/player/collector needs a guitar like that. Enjoy!!!
