After a few hiccups, and a few burnt fingers, my custom strat is finally done! It was everything I was hoping it would be, and I don't think I need to make any changes to it anytime soon.

It's a mid 90s hardtail American Standard body, custom shop 60s classic neck, abalone inlays, hipshot locking tuners, and a custom pickguard I had put together. The pickups are a pearly gates bridge, and alnico 2 neck. One volume, one tone, and a kill switch.

Can't wait to take this baby on stage this weekend!

Re: Finally finished!

Thanks guys! This was my first "build" of any kind and I'm glad it turned out pretty okay. The finish is something that wasn't planned, but I found a body someone had gotten custom painted in "purpleen". I tried to get one good shot of it where the color changes from purple to green. I've never seen a strat like it, so it adds to the unique feel

Re: Finally finished!

congrats man, better not sell this one.

I better not see a for sale post in the trading post

Re: Finally finished!

I was kinda MIA for a couple days.

Is this the result of your other thread?

This is the finished result from my thread a while back titled "slightly disappointing ngd"

The results from my last searching page are on there way actually 😉

Re: Finally finished!

I thought it was one of those types of finishes that changes color depending on the angle of the light.

Looks good.

Is it a typical 5-way Strat Switch? How do you have the selections set up?

The paint does change depending on light, goes from green to purple.

It is only a 3 way switch (I'm a pretty plain kinda guy) so setup just for bridge, bridge plus neck, and then neck only. I'm surprisingly getting a lot of use from the middle position
