It weighs a ton but I wont being moving it too much, I got my AVT50 if I ever have any future band practices. The price rose to $280 after some persuading. Is that a good price? Its pretty dirty and has a few tears in the tolex. I'm using a cheap Nuno guitar through it and the sound is really distorted and is chock full of mids. Can't wait to try my Ibanez with the newly installed Fred through it!

Damn... 280 is an amazing price. Put a V30 or two in there, and have away with it!
No, you can't kill yourself replacing tubes. You can burn your hand, though, if you don't let them cool off.

Why so many 5150-users out there? I thoght the only users were myself, this other guy from Sydney, and Deadskinslayer3.
Its interesting to note that most 5150 users I know don't ever run through the corresponding 5150 cabinet, but choose to run through a Marshall or some other cabinet. I wonder why this is so?

5150 I played sounded like complete @$$ through the 5150 cab. Whole diff animal through a MESA cab. Can only imagine the Marshall cabs would be even better cos they have more "knock"/"woody-ness" than a MESA.
Go listen to VHolics clips of the combo through his Marshall cab. Righteous tone.

Marshall cabinets are cheap and sound great, as Chris stated. I got my Rivera for 300 used... amazing price for such a great cabinet.
I dig the 5150 cabinets. Solid tone, nice high-wattage greenback based speakers.
I just happen to dig a cabinet with V30's more with this amp. I've also heard that a G12T75 and V30 combo in an X pattern is gorgeous with a 5150.
Don't dig Mesa cab's for anything but recording... Too dark/buzzy/shrill. Quite a strange combo.
