Finally got a shot of ALL of my guits

Projects on the left, basses on the right.
I had a giant "project thread" but I'm a dumba** and deleted all the pics out of it. In the last several months, I've sold 7 projects outright, parted out 4 other guitars and sold 3 completed guitars. I'm down to 5 projects, which if I get any real freetime this winter, I may actually complete... one of which I know will go right up on the bay. I still spend 90% of my playing time with my partscaster that I built before my 8-year-old was born...and she's kind of claimed that one anyway.

Nice......

Luckily you don't have a lot of concurrent projects. I have about 8 builds in various stages of completion. Some of them with a light at the end of the tunnel as I just bought the nut slotting height jig finally.

Good variety though.

I second that.

Nice shot of the fam!

I hear y'all about the projects...I have 4 in various stages and am unsuccessfully holding myself back on a Tele project lol

nice Harem! Please share more details on the light blue guitar with the white down the center. Also, the bass with the black headstock. That a fender and have the black neck too??

Hey thanks for liking the guit. Would you still like it as much if I told you it's a thin plywood body Squier?

I wanted to make a "maximum lightness" Strat, after the last 2 turning out fairly heavy. That and I realized I've never used the tremolos on all the Strats I've had. That's why I got a hardtail body, and it doesn't NEED to be 1.75" thick. The neck seems lighter than the other necks I had at the time, too.
It does have Neodymium single coils, and fancy wiring so it isn't all cheap.

The guitar is a "Skylark" made by Matsumoku and sold by JC Penney in '81, I'd wanted one since I saw them in the catalog as a young-un.

It's basically the same as an Aria Cardinal, other than the butt-ugly headstock those had. It's maple/walnut/maple neck thru with Ash wings, with a built-in 9V powered booster (and phase/series-parallel/coil tap switching) Its easily the nicest guitar I've owned. THey made this Skylark, a red set-neck one without the booster (and Gibson scale instead of this one's 25.5" scale) and a bolt-neck one without the fancy switching.
THe bass is an 80's "JB Player" all-maple neck thru P/J copy

I have it's guitar sibling that I'm in the middle of replacing the bridge on at the moment

If you can't tell, I'm an "80's neck thru guitar" nerd.
