Finally took some pics of my guitars....

Well, two of the 5 anyway. The two main guitars I used are generally my G&L Legacy and Nashville Tele, but these two are kinda interesting...

This is the first guitar I ever got, when I was about 7-8 years old. Before that I had a baritone ukelele. My parents bought it off a friend of the family - it was bought by the guy back in the 1960s sometime:

This is the last one I bought, from a friend of mine. He bought the bare body and painted and finished it:

Anyway, just thought I'd share...never posted pics before coz I hadn't taken any of my guitars. :)

One more of the 1960s gat...

Of course, this was the very guitar that I used when my good friend Carmine and I were doing the garage-band thing at age 7... ;)

Re: Finally took some pics of my guitars....

Nice axes man, the green one reminds me of Phil Collins Jackson(s) (the Def Leppard guy, not the drummer for genesis).

Re: Finally took some pics of my guitars....

Is the old one a Hofner? It's got that Hofner tailpiece, but I couldn't read the headstock or the tag on the body. Never get rid of your first guitar- I so wish I still had my old acoustic- it was a pile of crap, but I learned to play on it.

Re: Finally took some pics of my guitars....

I like the stripe in the transparent green. That's very cool.

Just FIY...the Def Leppard guy is Phil Collen, not Collins.

Re: Finally took some pics of my guitars....

Thanks guys!

Golden Boy - it's actually an Arnold Floyer, a German make that I haven't really seen any info on. Might have the spelling wrong but the seal on the body says "Nur echt mit diesem seichen" - which I think means "It's only a Floyer if it has this mark" (coz of course, people can fake guitars, but not seals like that :laugh2: )

I wont ever sell the Floyer - had it forever.

The green one was actually painted and everything by my friend. It has a fairly huge tone. I believe he said that it has maple sides and a mahogany neck.

Currently it has two Invader pickups, which limits its versatility somewhat - huge heavy tones with my G2D Morpheus pedal but not as good for softer music types. I put a bid on a SD Custom pickup so we'll see...

Re: Finally took some pics of my guitars....

By the look of it, that green guy may well have been one of Brian at Atwater's stockpile of parts at one point...

I can't remember where my mate bought the body from. I think he'd seen it at one of the shops for ages, then eventually they tried to move it on at a low price and he snapped it up.

He did another one, different body shape - it was a deep transparent red/maroon I think...

Thta's great stuff man... that green one needs a name!
Hmm....suggestions?

Actually, funnily enough I was once complimented on my nice jazz tone using that guitar. Had the volume backed off quite a bit, and it had a dark smooth tone. Not the normal tone associated with an SD Invader hehe.

But it's a killer axe for heavy music. Used to use it in a rap-core band I did a stint in...

Re: Finally took some pics of my guitars....

Re: Finally took some pics of my guitars....

That green one gives me a hard-on. Since it has Invaders, I suggest "The Green Monster" as the name ... perfect if you're a Red Sox fan, but I doubt there's many of those in NZ.

That hollow-body looks like a 50's Gretsch and a 60's Epiphone had a bastard child. I love it.

Re: Finally took some pics of my guitars....

That's the one big_black :jester:

Thanks ratherdashing...you're right that the Redsox don't tend to be huge down here. Except we did once have a national sports team selling red socks to fundraise once - very popular.
