I really do like rustic wood style amps. Google Red Iron Amps for ideas on any future heads you may put together. It would be fun to have a bunch of hand made wood enclosures for classic chassis sizes.

yeah, I've looked at red iron before, beautiful shells. While it's fun, it's a lot of work to put when you want to to them with solid wood. If you read back my initial post, you'll see how that wouldn't be practical or even really possible for me, seeing how I'm not equipped for that. I'll make 'em one at a time but there's not way I could build a bunch of 'em and still have time for everything else in my life. Music is just one part of a whole scenario where sleep is far down the list.

coool amp man. Good choice adding the master volume too....but where is it hidden?

It's next to the output jack between the power and preamp tubes. I can reach it with a finger through one of the vent-holes... (chuckles)

That is awesome! My first thought was where is the tweed?! lol I really dig the wooden cabinet look–clips? ;)
