Finally wired up my pedalboard!

Re: Finally wired up my pedalboard!

That's a really well thought out board mate, excellent pedal choice too! No wonder you're happy. Great stuff.

Re: Finally wired up my pedalboard!

Thanks guys! I fired up the whole thing with the full band today, really happy with it!

Re: Finally wired up my pedalboard!

Great setup Tor, all good quality pedals for a diverse range of sounds and effects.

Re: Finally wired up my pedalboard!

Thanks, Geoff. What I do currently is very effects-driven. . I am sure I could do with cheaper stuff too... Curiosity got me..

Re: Finally wired up my pedalboard!

Very nice!

I'm such a gear nut that I'm always surprised when I see a board that has nothing on it I've ever owned. LOL

You've chosen some nice pedals for sure. That Strymon Timeline is starting to make me twitch. haha

Re: Finally wired up my pedalboard!

Dang thats a nice set up ! Love your selection of pedals looks like you covers all my needs !

Hmmm...cheaper stuff. Yes, you could have saved a few pennies for some extra bowls of tapioca in your twilight years. Or, you can have the best stuff you can get your hands on right here, right now. I think you've made wise choices. Thank goodness for curiosity, I say.

Re: Finally wired up my pedalboard!

Damn, that's a nice board. How are you liking the Ego? I had one for a while and really liked it, but realized that compressors just aren't for me.

How would you compare the EP and the Timmy? I've got a Timmy, and the EP has intrigued me for a long time.

It should make you twitch!

Cheers man.

Awesome board, man.

How are you liking the DMC-3? I've been thinking of picking one up.

Also, how would you like the Stereo Wet vs the Space you had?

The DMC-3 is great! I bought it first and foremost for the bank up and down capability (a DMC-2 would suffice), but I wanted to be able to play around with the looper too. I'd definitely invest in one if you use the Timeline a lot.

Well.. I found that I only used the Shimmer (with the mix down) and the Blackhole presets on the Space.. Too much money, too much real estate, too much of everything. It's very nice, though. I sold it with a nice profit, and now I'm very happy with the Wet - this one will stay for a loong time. The reverb trails are just beautiful (I've had the BSR earlier too, and while it's nice, it's a bit too hi fi for me, and the shimmer was very rigid). The Wet can also easily be updated with some new algorithms. And the T1M fixed expression pedal is very handy as well. Simple and just great all around! I do miss the Blackhole preset dearly, though.

Hah, thanks for encouraging the insanity!

The Ego is awesome for me.. I use it a lot, although it's dialed in to compress just a touch. Very nice for controlling the finger picking a bit..

Well, I use the the EP and the Timmy differently. But whereas the EP has an inherent voice of its own, the Timmy can be extremely transparent, as you know. The EP adds some more grit and sparkle along with the increased volume, which many like, but I'm sure some wouldn't be too fond of it as well. It will stay on my board for a long time, though.

Re: Finally wired up my pedalboard!

I like the board and that tele!

Have you had any issues with tone suck from running so many pedal? Are you using a buffer at all?

Re: Finally wired up my pedalboard!

Thanks! Not something that has been noticeable to me, there's a buffer in the Timeline and the Wet. I think it is in the chorus as well, think I'll turn that one off.
