Finish suggestions?

I am getting ready to purchase a G&L Legacy HB (a strat-styled S-S-H guitar) with alder body and maple neck. I need to choose colors for the body and pickguard- can anyone give me some suggestions as to what would look good? Thanks!

G & Ls have an awful lot of choices for colors, and pickguard options, so I'd look at their site.

it also depends on the neck, too, because everything ties together

some combos that I've had and liked were:
Lake Placid blue/ pearl
sparkle black/ pearl
honeyburst/ cream
3 color sunburst/ white
blueburst/ pearl

lots of choices

Well, I am already leaning toward either the Candy Apple Red or Belair Green with a 3-ply white or pearl pickguard, but I love these other suggestions, thanks! Since I am going with an alder body, I am pretty much limited to the standard colors. My other guitar is a ASAT Deluxe, blueburst with rosewood neck- it looks and plays beautiful!
