Finished my mods to my Hot Rod Deville!!!

I have been wanting to do some work my Fender Hot Rod Deville. I decided to put a custom grill on it and also replace the stock speakers with Eminence Cannabis Rex speakers. I love the tone these things put out. For the grill cloth, I went down to my local headshop and bought a tapestry for $10 and cut it out and simply stapled it on top of the stock fender grill cloth... let me know what you think of it!!

Why that reminds me of turning on the TV in the early morning when I was a wee little boy.

TV didn't go 24 hours. At about 1-2am the channels would shut off and display a pattern. All you need to do is add a little antenna on the back and there you have it. :)

Perty nice. :bigthumb:

Man that makes me think of how good my blues deluxe in tweed would look with a multi color tie-die grill cloth.

nice look ,,, how do you like the speakers ? How heavy is the cloth ? Does it "hide" or muffle the sound ?

the aislin 6L6 chassis that scott made for me sits in a cab with a tye dye grill cloth. you need to put something beside that over the speakers cause it isnt much protection. but it can look cool.

Yeah I was thinking of just putting it in front of my existing grill cloth. I don't think it would affect the sound if I use very light fabric.

Besides blues, I do a lot of psychedelic, so it would own.

BTW, do you have any pictures of that amp?

Yeah it's nice.

Btw. Could anyone tell me (since he uses a Ernie Ball vol pedal too) if it's worth to go for the big soze volume pedal or is the Jr. version big enough and good to handle?
