20140512_212933.jpg20140512_212955.jpgThis is my first real post here and also my first project so go easy on me. It was a black starcaster with a maple neck. Body is basswood. I stripped it , primed it and painted it pontiac metallic blue. The front turned out pretty good but the back should have been sanded more. Oh well lesson learned. The pickups are LS-102 Duncan designed lipsticks. Bridge reads 4.62k, middle is 4.2k and neck is 4k. Neck is off a classic vibe squier. Should sound nice, bright and jangley. Just got it painted today so it should be together tomorrow. I just mocked it up for s###s and giggles. Looking forward to talking with everyone!

looks great man! the pontiac metallic blue matches up really nicely with the lipsticks.

Welcome aboard! help yourself to the straight jackets on the rack there.

Thanks a lot you guys I really appreciate the warm welcome! I think I'm comming down with a case of project acquisition syndrome... already got a couple New projects going in my head... maybe a 50's style ash tele? Or a 57 ish style two tone Sunburst maple neck strat? Now I just need the funds...

Thanks! Unfortunately the football doesn't fit... So I have to get the Dremel out to remedy it. The new one I got is from a MIM strat I think. The factory Chinese one has a smaller hump on the back.
