The one that suits your ear and rig.
That could be a 1meg.......could be a 500k....or could be a 250k.....or a 100k. Caps anything from .0001 to .1
So far the lack of info includes:
Precise type of firebird
Your rig
The type of strength mini going in
The tone you have with the current pickup in there, and the current pots/caps etc and what you think of it now
Plus of course what your ears like to hear. Something nobody but you knows, and is the most important aspect.
Until then we might as well pick a card.

Thank you for replied, My guitar is 2004 Nashville FirebirdVII, and my rig is Marshall JCM2000 with 1960A cabinet, this guitar output is very weak to me.
I did check this guitar inside but no writing any value on pots, So I don't know original stock values,
I plan to throw a seymour duncan mini humbucker SM-2b in the bridge position,
I don't want too bright & harsh, and don't want to weaken the output power, either
Therefore I want to know what if I install a 250K volume pot with a 500k tone pot, or if I install a 500K volume pot with a 250K tone pot, what is the sound difference?

The value won't weaken the power - or at least it I doubt it would be noticeable.
The higher value in the volume opens out the pickup - mainly in the upper mids range where the resonant peak is. So the entire pickup eq will sound a bit different to another value pot.
The tone pot can be compensated for.....turn a 500k down to 6 or 7 (typically where it reads 250k) and you have a 250k pot on 10

But I'm curious about the combination of Volume pot and Tone pot value interrelated,
So, what if I install a 250K volume pot with a 500k tone pot, or if I install a 500K volume pot with a 250K tone pot, what is the sound difference?

Many thanks for informations, is this "smoother" means warmer?
I tried 250k v with 500k t, and 500k v with 250k t, the results are a little bit different,
The former sound warmer, and a little bit less output, also , tried combination 250k with.022u cap, or 500k with 047u are also sound different.
