firebird pickups in strat body?

is it possible? i know it wouldn't sound the same but would it sound good with a maple neck and fingerboard and an alder body?
mainly the duncan antiquity 2

Oneof the best sounding Strats I ever played had a Firebird pickup in the bridge...it sounded great...the number 4 position was not Strat like at all and neither was the bridge but for a good sounding Strat it was a killer! Firebird pickups have blades under the covers so string spacing is no problem either!

Joe Walsh played a strat with a mini 'bucker at the bridge. It sounded great IMHO.

I had an original 63 Firebird , mahogany body , two mini humb and i thought it was very bright without much bass , so maybe in an alder boby it would too bright ?
