First Celtic Caitlin Amp (Tweed Tremolux Clone) Clip

Here is my very first Celtic Caitlin audio clip. You'll recognize the riff. I'm using my '94 Les Paul Standard (Seymour Duncan '59 neck pickup, single-coil tap) played directly into the miked Caitlin (SM57 mike). There is absolutely *no* post-processing, splicing, etc. on this clip; this is as raw as it gets, so please pardon some of the sloppy fingering. :)

Enjoy!

SOUNDS GOD! I was listening to a lot of Robert Cray this week and for some reason (even though only a few songs got tremolo) I got a sick craving for it! Tremolo sounds very lush. Great clean sound, next time you post a clip, lets here it with a little more volume though to see how nicely it breaks up. Sounds very good though! Good luck with it.

alright!!! It arrived unscathed apparently. I love the clip. Frickin' leslie buried in that thar tweed

Re: First Celtic Caitlin Amp (Tweed Tremolux Clone) Clip

Thanks, guys. I had to do something on the clean and quiet side, because everyone in the house is asleep right now. My plan is to do some dirty stuff tomorrow, along the lines of The Stones or Neil Young. I'll post those clips as well. Plus, I want to play this with my new Tele as well.

Pictures will arrive in a separate thread (in Amplifier Central) momentarily.

Lovin the sound of that tremolo...damn scott, you weren't kiddin ;).

That is indeed worthy of this emoticion: :headbang:

Re: First Celtic Caitlin Amp (Tweed Tremolux Clone) Clip

Sounds unreal. The trem is so understated and sweet. Nice playing too!

I do miss my old 1972 Peavey. Had good tremolo. Not as good as that, but it was something.

Re: First Celtic Caitlin Amp (Tweed Tremolux Clone) Clip

OMG!!!! That is incredible sounding. I LOVE IT!!! As if the pics didn't give me enough GAS, the tone sure does. Now, I wonder if Scott could/would do a '59 Bassman circuit with a switchable tremolo and reverb. Hmmmm. :33:

Re: First Celtic Caitlin Amp (Tweed Tremolux Clone) Clip

1:00:?: You're such a tease, Keith.

:joke:

Welcome to the brotherhood, DOOD.

Scott, how much extra for the onboard leslie?;)

Re: First Celtic Caitlin Amp (Tweed Tremolux Clone) Clip

Beautiful amp man! both visually and aurally.

GREAT WORK SCOTTY-BOY!!!

Re: First Celtic Caitlin Amp (Tweed Tremolux Clone) Clip

Yeah, I'm toying with the idea of getting a Fender reverb tank with this...but that's thinking way too far in advance. I've only had about an hour to play with this amp. There's much more to be discovered.

Re: First Celtic Caitlin Amp (Tweed Tremolux Clone) Clip

I could be persuaded to make a vintage style matching tweed reverb outboard unit.

Re: First Celtic Caitlin Amp (Tweed Tremolux Clone) Clip

Man, that sounds killer! Way dry, and in need of some verb, but killer nonetheless!

That said, I didn't recognize the riff :(.

Re: First Celtic Caitlin Amp (Tweed Tremolux Clone) Clip

Thanx alot Keith!Sounds fantastic IMHO!The Leslie effect is awesome ,and it's so nice clear and full!
Great Job Scott! The tone is even better than the Looks!

Re: First Celtic Caitlin Amp (Tweed Tremolux Clone) Clip

Nice tremelo and tone.

It almost sounds like a Leslie (aka Vibrotone) turning at fast speed.

Don't worry about the fingering - it's close to John Fogerty's.

Re: First Celtic Caitlin Amp (Tweed Tremolux Clone) Clip

Oh my god, that sounds SICK! I can't wait to hear something cranked. This is gonna be good.

Re: First Celtic Caitlin Amp (Tweed Tremolux Clone) Clip

VERRRRY Nice, I wish I had snagged it before! Oh well I'll just have to get on the list!
