First magnet swap - worked but not a success

And it was indeed easy.

Anyhow, I tried an A8 in the bridge '59 of my SG but decided that wasn't what I wanted so I put the A5 back in - din't even have to take the strings off for that.

I love the '59 neck and I like the '59 Bridge a lot but I really want "more of the same." I have seen a lot of the Custom 5 recommendations but I wanted to try this before I bought yet another pickup.

I also have a JB sitting around and thought about the A8 in it for this. Any opinions?

The JB8 is a great pickup, not yet a Distortion but more balls with smoother alnico highs - a real winner.
Did you ever checked the Jazz in the neck: a touch more mids and not so scooped. For the Bridge i would recommend a Custom or a Screaming Demon.

JB8 is fat and mean. Not quite as harsh as a Distortion. It'll knock your socks off, but musically.
