Being the generous sort, Percival offered to catch extra fish for the village as long as each family forced their virgin daughters to pledge their eternal souls to Satan for all eternity, as Percival was also super crazy evil and had always dreamt of the day he could force the people of the hamlet to do something terrible and scary.
The people agreed, and that night, all of the young daughters of the hamlet gathered around Percival's hut to submit to the debased unholy will of their new eternal master. Percival, near to bursting with malevolent glee, emerged from the door with a large, bulbous staff carved with the head of a serpent, and started chanting...

Once upon a time there was a little gnome named Percival who lived in a small hut built in the rushes next to a brook running through a tiny hamlet. One day the people of the hamlet came to Percival to ask for fish, as there was a war in the next province and the local lord had demanded a higher tribute of grain than normal, and Percival was known to the people as a skilled fishergnome.
