First Tele, need help!

Re: First Tele, need help!

Jerry Donahue will pair nicely with the neck seth humbucker.
Drop the greasebucket and go with standard wiring...but...use 500k pots and add a 470k ohm resistor for the bridge pickup, so it sees 250k at the volume.
Brass barrels for sure, or simply drop in either a gotoh intonated vintage style bridge for old skool tele twang, or a joe barden intonated bridge for a slightly meatier, more sustaining sound. Both will be an improvement.
You will have 3 killer sounds and people will comment on how good your tone is at gigs.

^ would love to see a shot of this guitar in regular light.....looks great with the 'stage lighting'.

Re: First Tele, need help!

I have a Tele with the '59 in the neck and I tried the resistor/500k thing and it just killed the sound. I know plenty of people swear by it (why I tried it), but was putting a blanket over the sound.

Slight side note, but I normally find the '59 muddy in the neck, but it just seems to work in the Tele.
