Fishman Fluence @18V?

What can I expect if do the 18V mod on my Fluences?

EMG's tend to get a bit more lively: Slightly more highs and lows and slightly less compression.

I don't hear the Fluence preamp clip (at least not as bad as EMG's @9V), so i wonder what difference it would make.

Short answer is that it’s unnecessary. Part of the reason they draw more current is because of the headroom. They’ll work at 18v but it’s not necessary.

Yeah I'd check if they're even OK with it before doing anything. They might not even tolerate higher voltage.
