Fixing Guitar Scratches...

I heard you can fix guitar scratches using M3 automotive swirl remover and a soft cloth.

Has anyone tried this? I have a scratch in my black headstock. It really annoys me.

3M polish will work on minor scratches, but be careful using it on headstocks. If your logo is screened on over the clear coat, the polish can remove the logo right along with the scratches.

i'm not sure i'd use it on Nitro finnishes but on Ploy the local guitar shop uses Brasso metal polish and an auto buffing pad..... the buffing pads are the ones that go into an electric drill chuck.... I've seen the results... Nice!!! But it will not remove some deeper scratches
