flanger, tubedrive, crushzone
as the headline says;)
I love flangers man!

But you know what I want you to build...
Aha but what has that to do with the clip??
I am not going to build a vibe for a very long time right now, we have it on our to do list, and I think Thomas or Rasmus will make it....but that is beside the point here!;)
Used my HW-1 strat if that is important?

:laugh2:

Nice clip. FAT tone...

Re: Flanger stuff...

Thanks guys;)
We have one last feature for this flanger, two different modes of feedback control, will take it from more modern to oldstyle like this clip was.
It is a crazy pedal and Thomas made a real killer pedal here with very few components, that is probally why it works so good!!!
And it is all analouge and uses no old stuff.

Re: Flanger stuff...

Interesting clip...

Can 'yer new wunder gizmo it do the crazy ADA stylee flanges?

How about getting into old MXR territory???

You'd be up for bonus points if it can handle stereo and could be modded for a +4dB input...balanced or unbalanced is A-ok by me!

I have a pair of 70s MXR boxes that I hang off the console when I mix!

Stereo baby.

Those TC and Lexicon, Eventides not too bad...but TC, Boss...NONE of that stuff sounds or feels "right" to me.

...I need an MXR rackmount flanger...

Re: Flanger stuff...

It is a damn lowly 9v floor model;)
No stereo.
It can go crazy enough, as the predelay is variable as well, it is not made as a copy of anything, it does what it does, it flanges:D
Dunno if it will end up as a 12v or a 9v right now.
As for MXR rackmount...well get a few of those and stick them into a 19" rack:D
Hehehe
We do not make studio stuff right now, we have done that before, but we are concentrating on the pedals right now, do not have the time, people, to do much besides what we do right now....
Have you tried this site??
www.modezero.com

Re: Flanger stuff...

Kool link! I hadn't seen that site before...

Anyway, not that it's gotta be an exact copy of an ADA or whatever...but you know...

Try a Digitech flanger out, or a Boss...Ivebeenhad's...

They all sound really weak & fake...plastic by comparison.

Have you ever seen the Little Labs PCP?

Re: Flanger stuff...

Cool stuff!!!
That looks great, thanks for the link:)
Ah no worries about the flanger, it is not thin, we made it without a compander, we simply clocked the BBD to a higher frequency, it is a very lo-fi one as well, the pedal has input volume, it reacts to the feedback, we have a clean signal mix on it, the usual depth and speed, then we added a predelay, so it notches in the higer frequencies or lower, on the lower it gets extremely fat and adds a phenomonal warmth to the sound, we also added a sinus and sawtooth switch, on the higher frequencies it is quite 60's like.
I have had several flangers, I still have my Yamaha FL-100 from the late 80's, and I have had a FL-9 which sounded more like a chorus, I also had the old 305 which was quite trippy as well.
I have a friend who had the ADA...that is a wild one!
Here is an extra clip, the prototype is acually a chorus/flanger...
But we will seperate them.

Re: Flanger stuff...

As always, :cool3: clip, Niels.

I like the flanger effect, but I think I'll stick with phaser right now.

After all, who ever heard Captain Kirk say, "Set flangers to stun.":?:

:D

Re: Flanger stuff...

Cool clip Niels (both). The first clip is very nice and warm. But the flanger is not my cup of tea.I like phasers more!!!But for your playing ,it fits perfect!
Rhe seccond one i like a vibrato ,and it feels well.
nice work again bro!

Yeah, no doubt that PCP is a KILLER piece 'o kit! Actually all that Little Labs stuff is great, total "problem solver" boxes. Check out the STD...

I use all sorts of stomboxes when I mix...send a vocal through a Phase 90 or drums through a SansAmp off an aux send or a buss...I've even used a Rat box for metal vocals...tucked WAAAAAAY back there behind the original track.

Anyway, is this new magik flanger going to be in the same style box as the Chorus and Delayla, all those boxes, or in the "mini" line of pedals?

Re: Flanger stuff...

Hmm sofar the chorus will end up in the Quattro for now, maybe it will end up as a standalone box as well??
The flanger...well dunno right now.
I think it should be a 9v box, as it is a "funky" piece of equipment!

Re: Flanger stuff...

...guys this is old:D
Trust me...it is a serious one.....probally not gonna sell alot of them...but it is for sure fun!
It is done though......and the schematic is being made, it will be one of the Vintage series pedals.
P`S it will make the sweeping noise!!!!
NOISEEEEEEE!!!
:D
And it is very addictive!
Then again...who cares??
