flat single coil HSH

Hello! I am looking for a pickup:

· True Single coil (HUM) or stack (no hum)
· With normal polarity (NO RW / RP)
· Magnets planes (flat poles, not staggered)
· Looking for not very sharp fender classic vintage sound.

I would compare many models and brands
Examples: seymour SSL2, Kinman impersonator fat. Bare Knuckle irish tour and sultan, Lollars ...

It is for a prestige ibanez linden rosewood fingerboard with. seymour work alongside a jazz on the mast and tone zone on the bridge. My amp is a ENGL Screamer.

Fender Vintage Noiseless is what I got for that


Guitarpartsonline says their Dragonfire version is the same thing for less money

I would go for something like a Classic Strat Stack...no hum (especially with a high gain amp like an ENGL), great, glassy sound, and not quite as sharp as an SSL-1/2 sound. Blends well with a Jazz, too.

Could be a job for Alnico 3 magnets. In the BKP range, that'd be The Apache set.

ehdwuld: Thanks! I did not know these pickups. A closer look at their websites.
Initially he used an Area 61 but changed it to the SSL2 because it is flat.

Mincer: About seymour duncan say that I am looking at:

1 APS-2 (maybe have a problem, I have seen that the engl reacts very sensitive to the difference in output)
2 STK-S4n can be a good choice because it has a tad less treble is more balanced than SSL2 would fit better in eq. to 500K pots. Although I have this doubt ...

IMO Jazz is perfect! in all possible ways.

Crusty philtrum: Apache has SSL2 similar to eq. Ask at Bare Knuckle and they recommended me the irish tour pickup. And also Kinman, his answer was the impersonator fat but it is a bit expensive.
I have to admit that no malfunctioning of my ibanez using outer coils
