Floyd Rose 1000 upgrade Arm and micro tuners

Hi!
I want to upgrade my Floyd Rose 1000. I replaced locking nut because was bad quality.
I noticed Arm is bad quality too. I'm wondering between Original Arm or Original Push In arm.
It appears that Push-In Arm removes all problems with clasic arm, but does it have any flaws?
Micro tuners are loose and they don't work smoothly, works like with sand on screws.
I lubricated it technical Vaseline, but it didn't help much. Would replacing them help?
What else is worth changing in Floyd Rose 1000?
Thanks!

Go to the FR website. Check out all their upgrades and decide what you want. WARNING: you can go overboard and spend more than a new trem would cost. I look at it like this though, who buys a new Camaro or Mustang and leaves it stock?

Don't bother upgrading, as the poster above says, parts-swapping a FR tends to get pricey quickly. Look for a Schaller Lockmeister or a Gotoh 1996. Both cheaper than an OFR and both of equal quality. Just make sure they will fit first.

yeah, bro, I'd hop over to the gotoh 1996. There is no better value when it comes to floyds, although the 1000 series on my friend Todd's Dave murray signature Strat felt fine to me when I played it. sucks that you got a dud

Just wanted to say, it sounds like your tuners are faulty somehow. I have no problems with my 1000. I don't like playing on Floyds very much but it's smoother and works better than the Pro I got to "upgrade" it. The arm works fine and the locking nut is identical. If I was going to upgrade at this point I would be looking at swapping the whole thing for a Sophia, but that's a significant cost increase.

As JMP said, the push in arm kit is essential, never had a problem with the 1000, I've owned every locking trem there is, including early 80s originals, Ibanez Edges, Peavey/Ping, Music Man etc. and the 1000 has been as good as any.for me. I think the push in arm should be the stock setup!
