Floyd Rose Noiseless Trem Springs??

First... Any real difference??? Second, I normally use Raw Vintage springs.. If I want to stay close to that feel, would I use Black or red?? I assume black.
Any other insight would be appreciated!! Thanks!

Re: Floyd Rose Noiseless Trem Springs??

...Didn't notice a difference with noise. And, the colour depends on how much tension you want. The red springs are heavy-duty and have more tension.

Yeah Bro! I knew that. Just wondering if the reds or black are closest in feel to the raw vintage springs I currently use..?

I may go tubing.. I just like the looks of the colored springs.

Re: Floyd Rose Noiseless Trem Springs??

This is purely irresponsible speculation since I've never used the Floyd springs, but if Black = "standard", my feeling is that Raw Vintage are softer than standard and Red Floyds are stiffer than standard. So while black seems to be closer to Raw Vintage, I think they will be stiffer than the Raw Vintage springs.

However, the Red would look badass on your Charvel!

Re: Floyd Rose Noiseless Trem Springs??

They work. I got 'em on my EBMM Axis. The one drawback was that they messed with the string grounding but removing a bit of the coating to allow electrical contact with the trem block and claw did the trick.

Oh, yeah, they would look killer in there!!!! But, hmmm... I love the feel of the raw vintage...

aleclee,
yeah, good info!! thanks!

Re: Floyd Rose Noiseless Trem Springs??

Just keep what you got and mod.

Honestly, if were getting down to 'the guitar looks so good when flipped over' then we are really stretching it

Re: Floyd Rose Noiseless Trem Springs??

You know what...I don't know if I've ever actually SEEN it??? Time to upload a pic there BloodRose

Also...ALSO, you asked this same question a year ago!

Re: Floyd Rose Noiseless Trem Springs??

Did I?? Sorry for repetition.. I usually do a search before posting anything.. I actually ordered some this time around.. : )

PFDarkside, Thanks for the kind words Bro! Since you mentioned it...

Already has a bunch of upgrades.. Large block, ti string blocks, stainless hardware, upgraded claw.. Red springs might look pretty tasty in there..

Got some black ones coming to try in the white one..

Re: Floyd Rose Noiseless Trem Springs??

I see why the search didn't pull it up.. worded pretty differently...

Re: Floyd Rose Noiseless Trem Springs??

Oh yeah, I've seen those before for sure! I'm in love with your white one actually. And now I see your point, I'd get red trem springs too haha

And yes, the only reason I found it was I was digging through quick to try and find a picture of it haha

Re: Floyd Rose Noiseless Trem Springs??

Ok, got some of each. Tried the red ones. Looked ok. But WAY too stiff. Black ones actually look better in my opinion as they match all the black trim on the guitar.
With the raw vintage, i am able to run 4 springs and still use the bar.. With the blacks I can use three and with the red, two was the limit.. I took pics of the diff colors, but for some reason I cant get them all from my phone to photobucket. Will try again in the morn. Here is the only one that came over.. Last shot with black springs showing how they match the cavity covers.

Re: Floyd Rose Noiseless Trem Springs??

finally...
Ok, finally went a diff route.
So, guitar went from stock to this:

to this with red springs:

to this with black
