Floyd Rose Tremolo Part

I'm not sure what this part is called, but this is what it does:
Basically, stabilizes the tremolo when you are bending with your left hand. This way, the other strings stay in tune while you are bending a string. This way you can bend say the second string up an octave to a note you are playing on the 1st string, without having to compensate on the first string for your bend on the 2nd string.

So, anyone know what this part is or have any experience with it? I've heard about it, but dont' know what it's called.

Re: Floyd Rose Tremolo Part

I think you're referring to a trem stabilizer. It replaces the center trem spring and helps the trem always return to the same position. I think there are a couple of companies who make these types of devices, but the only one that comes to mind at the moment is the Hipshot trem stabilizer.
