Anyone have images of Fluence wiring setups? The diagrams seem to lead to a bit of a rats nest. Any tips for keeping it tidy on a rear routed body? (Strat pickguards are pretty easy and the Tele set is all prewired.)
. . . drill a thin piece of scrap wood for pot holes, and wire on there before transplanting
Isn't it same as EMGs? Or do you mean the pushpull for mode change thing?
DIY pushpull wiring done inside a cavity tends to look messy. If you want to reduce the mess a bit, have several extra inches of wire, drill a thin piece of scrap wood for pot holes, and wire on there before transplanting
Let me know if you need anything more specific.
Whichever Fluence set you're considering, get a hold of Frank, tell him what you're after, take his advice, and you won't be disappointed.
It really is. Between the pickups delivering everything they claim and more, and Frank's absurd luthier skills, it really does anything with no compromises. I can't remember where you live, but if you're ever in the SW Ohio area, you need to hit me up and take it for a spin.
Thanks.FWIW, I put Fluence Classic Humbuckers in an Ibanez AF75, using 4 push/pull pots, in order to independently access all available tone combinations. My wiring is a bit sloppy, as this was a science project, more than anything:
