This is the long lost brother to both the V and Explorer...

I am currently running a set of Duncan Pearly Gates in her but I am thinking about trying out the original Shaw pickups for kicks...however the PG's kick a LOT of butt in this guitar!

My V still has the stock Gibby pups in it. Will prob put a Duncan dist in it down the road.

My beloved Explorer has a 59 4bridge model in the neck and a Custom 8 in the bridge..

My Explorer pro has the stock 496R/500T.

I think they work great in a all mahogany guitar.
Especially for hard rock and metal.

I have a set of 59s in my Explorer at the moment .. the original 500T/496R were good too - I wanted to try something less hot, though.

Sorry - no sexy axe pics yet.. :disappoin

Stock 496R/500T, and they're not going anywhere. There are plenty of other pickups that I would enjoy in this guitar, but these are the right ones for the classic metal and raunchy blues that I play on it.

That stock set works pretty good.

My one flying v is running a superd/pafpro combo, the other one has a set of custom wound JS Moores in it, slightly overwound and very sweet. My Jackson RR has a 59N and a TB-4 and my explorer has a 498t (with A8)/490R (with A5) combo in it

Both of my Vs have the JB/Jazz set. Very versatile for my needs.

I had an invader in one of the Vs but it was a little ridiculous.

Both guitars- stock Gibson pickups
But I really don't play these all that much.
