Re: Flying V's!
I'd love to post my other Vs but photobucket is blocked for me on the ship. I had somebody post that on another forum so I KNEW that's what it was. I also have one of those Hamer Korina Vectors, a one off by Kaufman called the EN-V, a KxK V6, an 80 or so Burny 67 V copy, another V90, a Bacchus BFV-58 (like a 58 V with 67 body thickness), and I just sold an 82 Dean V right before I left for deployment that I should have kept. They say hindsight is 20/20, and all. Any of my fb (fb is ALSO blocked out here) buddies could post my stuff here, I think. They're in one of my picture folders...
V90s are my favorite Vs. 25.5 scale, 24 frets on ebony/split diamonds/3pc maple, long tenon (for a V), 3 pc mahogany body, Gibson-branded Schaller Floyd, Steinberger fold out leg rest, recessed football jack on the inside of the top wing. I think they were 88/89-90/91. They came in V90 double/and single. Mine's actually a double with a new pickguard. The weird slanted single neck cavity is still under there. They also came with ABR-1/V plate (seen these with board binding, as well), and one of those oddball Steinberger trems that lock in place with a little lever or something. I want one of the non-trems REEEEAAAAAL bad.
