Follow up from yesterday.

So some of you may rememebr yesterday a certain someone happened to scratch my baby, and I reacted. And I was either
A: Cheered on
B: Condemned

Well today I sought to make amends and what do ya know, he's now in my group for Jazz band. OK at bass I suppose. Got along bit better today. He apologized for his offence, and i did mine. isn't that funny how life works?

And now for your viewing pleasure, the divot. It's on the bottom right edge, luckily out of sight but still I'd rather not have had it.

EDIT: Pic now working

Re: Follow up from yesterday.

From your description, I imagined a lot worse. It's a big scratch alright, but I tend to see them as war scars that add character. And that each one of them tell a story about your Strat's life.

...Or, now you have an excuse to paint it Arctic White like you told me you wanted.

EC,
You are going to let this slide??? :banghead:

Re: Follow up from yesterday.

WEll I mean what would you have me do now?

Have your parents take up the issue with his parents. Dam Sam...if that is the Stratocaster in your Public Profile...do you realize how much that kid just devalued your guitar?

I am not trying to stir the pot, but being passive here is just making you loose out. What did your parents say?

P.S. You better not be lying about this and posting someone else's damaged guitar. That will not set well with Uncle DLT.

when are you going to post the funny part?

have you involved the band director to make sure the newbie understands in no uncertain terms that he is never to touch an instrument that doesnt belong to him?

have you received any consequences for committing assault and battery?

Re: Follow up from yesterday.

T4D, take it easy on the kid... He seems to have learned his lesson. People do dumb things when they are angry and regret it later. Now, if he hasn't learned anything and beats another 14 year old kid, he deserves what he gets. But if they are able to resolve their dispute in a way that pleases both sides without actually getting legal issues involved, where is the problem?

EC, stay out of trouble, and rock that guitar! If it sounds good, ignore the scratch. It adds character.

Re: Follow up from yesterday.

Somebody get EC a copy of "This Is Spinal Tap". ;)

You are, I read all the replies to that thread yesterday though and wanted to stick my oar into this one. :1:

Re: Follow up from yesterday.

Post more, I'm really interested to know how this STORY progressed.
And if you're a 16 year old kid, I'll eat my own arse.

Bear in mind you're on my ignore list, so further posts better be really, really interesting and exciting (like the previous ones on this topic) or I won't be able to see them!

Re: Follow up from yesterday.

Only one option... The offender must be Impaled with the desecrated instrument

Re: Follow up from yesterday.

i have a hard time believing the people who are upset about this stuff ever went to high school.

every good bassist learns to get smacked around by guitarists early on. only the best learn how to fight back.
