What is the difference between the VC4 and VC12? Who here uses one, how does it work?

I use the VC-4 and it's all I need from a f/c,plus the 12 is pretty expensive! Basically I use my f/c to turn on and off effects via each switch for each preset I use.....I have mine set to turn on and off things like chorus/delay/Univibe etc....I use the pedal to change delay time and chorus and univibe depth and a seperate EB volume pedal plugged into the back of the FC-4 as my master volume control for the entire amp.

You can also use the FC-4 to change actual presets on the fly,but I don't use mine that way...

So the FC4 just switches between presets? That's all I really need.
