Re: For $349.99 I couldn't resist......
Me likey! I love the 'C' shaped Fender necks. This one is more of a C clamp shape-flattens out in the back. It's a very fast, comfortable neck. The fret edges are pretty smooth. I'm a better player on this guitar than on my Epi Iommi. I was surprised to see that the tremolo floats. I just figured it would be against the body like a Strat. The body isn't recessed so you can't pull up too far like a Floyd Rose but it does float. Seems to stay in tune pretty well.
The pickups sound great, of course, although I'm not sure which is the '59 and which is the PG+. Fender says the '59 is the bridge and MF says the PG+ is the bridge but I would assume Fender would be correct. I always equated easy pinch harmonics with hotter p/ups but they're easy with this bridge p/up.
The guitar is Korean made so the parts aren't top of the line (except the Seymour Duncans!), I think the volume and tone knobs are a hard plastic, but this is a nice guitar, especially @ $299. The SD p/ups, locking tuners and graphite nut make this stand out from alot of the other imports. She's a keeper!
P.S. I had black on my fingertips after playing it. I don't know if it was from the fretboard or cheap strings. Hopefully a string change will fix that.
