For a strat: How does (2) aps-1s and a stratbro sound?

I've been thinking about replacing the pickups on my Hwy1 strat. The ones I have are okay, but they don't have that sweet chimey bell sound. I was originally thinking about the SSL-1, because I heard that those are what John Frusciante of RHCP uses, but after listening to the sound samples, I'm thinking I'd prefer the APS 1.

Also, I've been thinking about putting a stratbro 90 in the bridge. Do you think the strat mode would work with the alico pros??

I don't think the Strabro mixes with regular Strat pickups.

So far I had guitars either strongly favor the Strabros or reject them. Didn't find a guitar that I would rate as "good strat-strat" and "loves the strabros".

Get the Twangbanger with the aps's. I <3 mine.

Thanks for relating your experiences.

Hmm... My first thought was "but I'm not into country music" but I've noticed lately that a lot of my favorite guitarists will occasionally use a Tele. (Actually, they occasionally use everything.) So maybe that's the way for me to go.

I recently got a wiring kit for the strat off ebay. It has three switches instead of a 5-way switch, like this:

Now each of those switches can go "off," "on," or "out of phase." I'm hoping it will all sound cool.
