My one student loves the JB in my one LP and so do i but like the EMG 81 moreso
He has a basswood ibanez i think it is a RG 470?
anyway he says he is also thinking of getting a dimebucker(he is a huge dime fan!)
what is tonally different from the JB in the dimebucker?
is it tighter? more agressive?

Hmmm... my best advice is listen to the Damageplan cd. What you hear there is what you'll hear from the Dime. It's hotter than the JB, harmonics are similar, and has much tighter bass. Less mids, too.

I have my Dimebucker in my RG570 (same specs as the 470) and LOVE it. I bet he'll enjoy it, too.
