FOR SALE: Rare set of CLEAR/BLUE Gibson 498/490 humbuckers!!!
Rare set of Gibson 498T / 490R humbuckers. Clear plastic bobbins, Chrome outer rims, and blue, that's right, BLUE wire coils!
According to my research, they were taken out of a SG Goddess limited edition. They are stamped GIBSON USA on the back, just like the standard 498/490 set.
Full leads left, 2 conductor vintage braided pushback wire. Everything tests out right on the meter, and the pickup outputs fall right where the 498/490 should.
I know these would be killer pickups in the right guitar, and would add some very cool visual flair. Anyone got a sparkle blue glitter flake superstrat? Slap these bad boys in there!
